The Association tells its story:

From the concrete experience of volunteering particularly developed on the occasion of the Holy Shroud ostensions from 1998 to 2015, a stable group of lay people has gradually formed and the proposal to organize a group with the aim of protecting, enhancing and promoting the historical, artistic and architectural heritage of the Royal Church of San Lorenzo was born. The main purpose of the Association is to welcome visitors and help them to discover the historical and artistic contents of the Royal Church, one of Guarini masterpieces.

Participations

Since 2004 it has become a member of the International Federation "Ars et Fides", which groups together associations of volunteers who welcome visitors to sacred buildings and brings together the most representative churches in Europe for history, architecture, art and tradition of religious faith.

Periodical training meetings

The spiritual animation of the association was for a long time carried on by the previous rector of the church Don Franco Martinacci (22 August 1929 - 7 January 2015). The present spiritual assistant of the association is Don Paolo Tomatis. Specific periodical training and friendship meetings take place on the last Saturday of the month at 3:30 pm (October-May)
